Have you ever thought about your life? How did life originate on earth? Nature and science show that it is impossible that life on earth has arisen spontaneously. Just have a look at the DNA that is in every cell of our body. This DNA contains the complete manual for our whole body. If you would write down this manual, you would need more than 2500 thick books! In addition, it is impossible that such a manual, a complex code, could have been emerged from accidental changes.

If life can’t have been caused by chance, then there must be a design. And a design needs a Designer. If there is a designer, a Creator if you like, do you also want to know who he is and why He has created you? There are so many religions on the earth that all have a opinion about that.

Discover the Truth Yourself

To discover the true identity of your Creator, the best way is to discover the truth yourself. The Creator does not show Himself in material form. So how can we find out what the purpose of our lives? If you ignore your purpose, you may be misssing your destination in life!

Characteristics of the Creator

The Creator apparently has a reason why we can’t see Him. Yet by looking at His creation we can learn several characteristics from Him. After all, a design shows some of the nature of the designer.

The first we can discover from nature is that the Creator is very creative. He created the earth with lots of detail. For example, there are more than 400,000 different types of plants. If you study the people, animals and plants, you will see that they are very complicated that we do not understand all after many centuries of scientific research.

When we have a look at the the laws of nature, we observe that the Creator is also a designer of cause and effect. The laws of nature, such as gravity, always operate in the same way. Therefore it can be assumed that the Creator is reliable.

People seem to have characteristics that all other creatures in nature do not have. We can think about our existence, we maintain relationships with other people and can love other people. The Creator is thus also a creator of relationships and love. Because we can think about our existence, we can also experience an emptiness or a gnawing feeling, if we do not know the purpose of our lives. Actually all people therefore search for the meaning of their existence.

A Creator who’s Involved?

If we look around us, we could easily remember that the Creator no longer interferes with creation. There is so much misery in the world. We buy from this at the point of our own responsibility. The people have been given the opportunity by the Creator to make their own choices. By being able to choose, we can choose to give our Creator respect and appreciation. You can also choose not to do that and do what you want.

Not all people choose to accept and respect their Creator. This means that people often disrespect other people. The consequences can be devastating. People like Hitler and Stalin are responsible for millions of deaths. But people closer to us are also doing horrible things… What about myself?

Should the Creator intervene? If so, in what cases would that be necessary? And when would any intervention ensure that there still is freedom of choice?

Can we Find Answers in one Religion?

There are thousands of religions on the earth. They all claim to represent the truth. Some people think that all religions show a bit of the truth and that they are all different roads to the same destination. Yet that is’t possible if you have a close look at the huge differences between all religions. One believes in one god, the other in millions of gods. Other religions assume that we ourselves are a god. These differences can not be reconciled.

Yet it is important to know what’s the truth. After all, if our Creator has made us with a purpose, then it is good to know what our goal is. Otherwise you there is a big chance you will miss your goal in life.

The way, the truth and the life

From here I’d like to tell you something about the Truth that I have been able to discover about our Creator. I will also call him God, because that is the most common name for the Creator worldwide.

I have discovered the Truth, the true image of the Creator in the Bible. If you adhere to a different religion, then I can well imagine that you now want to stop reading. Still, I want to ask you to continue reading. I hope that I can tell you something that is very  valuable to you.

The most important thing is that you learn to discover the truth yourself. I just want to help you on your way by telling something about the Creator who cares about His creation and even has a personal purpose with your life! I want to challenge you to discover the truth for yourself.

It does not matter if you do not have much confidence in the Bible. Through this link you can read more about why the Bible is a unique book. I would like to give you some quotes from the Bible to think about. Most importantly, I hope you will discover that God has created you with a purpose and that He will show you that you are valuable!

The Lord answered, “It is because the people of Judah stopped following my teachings. I gave them my teachings, but they refused to listen to me. They did not follow my teachings. 1

I have discovered that God is a god of relationships. That He cares about the people He has created. But He expects us to give him the attention and respect that belongs to a true relationship. Just like in a human relationship, it can not come from one side.

In the Bible you can discover that God created the world and the people living on it to show how great and powerful He is. The special thing about us humans is that we are able to sincerely return God the honor and fame he deserves. But you can also choose to ignore Him.

The beauty is that God will be found by the people who sincerely seek Him;

[…]And if you look for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him. 2

I hope you also have some spark of this desire in your heart and will sincerely seek God. He lets himself be found, that is a promise!

The Devastating Consequences of Freedom of Choice

Nevertheless, the freedom of choice has also created a dilemma. We can trust that God is an honest, righteous creator. This means that the mistakes we make have a consequences. God can not condone our mistakes. The most important choice we can make is to respect Him or to ignore Him. In the latter case, it makes sense that God will ignore the people who ignore Him.

But also the mistakes of the people who show respect for God must have a consequence, otherwise God would not be credible. Take a look at your own heart. Do you know what God wants from you and if you know that, do you always do that? I think there is no man who can honestly say that he always does what is right.

‘There is no one who understands. There is no one who is trying to be with God. They have all turned away from him, and now they are of no use to anyone. There is no one who does good, not even one.” 3

If a partner in a relationship has been cheating, the relationship will be permanently disturbed. Even if the partner does cheat for ‘next 100 occasions’, still permanent damage has occurred. There is only one way of recovery. That is if there is remorse and ther eis forgiveness from the other partner. It is in the same way in the relationship with God. All mistakes we make, damage our relationship with Him. There is only a way back when we repent and ask God for forgiveness.

Will My Mistakes be Forgiven?

God wants a relationship with the people. He wants to offer us forgiveness for all of our selfishness. He has devised a great plan to solve the dilemma. He himself takes the consequences for the mistakes we have made. I will tell you about how and why;

‘The law was without power because it was made weak by our sinful selves. But God did what the law could not do: He sent his own Son to earth with the same human life that everyone else uses for sin. God sent him to be an offering to pay for sin. So God used a human life to destroy sin. 4

Perhaps the first question that comes to mind is how God can have a Son. In the article “Does God have a Son?” you can read a lot more about this topic. The most important message is that God’s Son, by dying for us, has been able to compensate for our mistakes and He has thereby made it possible for God to forgive you and me for all that we have done wrong. Thanks to that forgiveness, there is no obstacle to having a sincere relationship with God!

The great Creator who humbles himself to the level of His creatures? That just can not be! That is what you think I guess. Yet that is His loving and brilliant solution to the dilemma for a relationship with us.

‘When people sin, they earn what sin pays—death. But God gives his people a free gift—eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.5

God’s Son was born as an ordinary man, with one big difference, that his mother Mary, a simple woman from Bethlehem, is impregnated in a divine way. A unique combination of the Divine and the human. God’s Son receives the name Jesus Christ (which means Redeemer, Anointed One). Jesus grows up like every child and when is about 30 years old He starts His real mission here on earth. To show that He is different from anyone else, He heals sick people and does other miracles. During His life he teaches people that God loves them and that God wants a relationship with them. No amorous relationship, but a spiritual relationship, a bond.

But He was not just an example and a teacher for the people. There is more on top of that, something that had been predicted many times and centuries before…

‘From that time Jesus began telling his followers that he must go to Jerusalem. He explained that the older Jewish leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of the law would make him suffer many things. And he told his followers that he must be killed. Then, on the third day, he would be raised from death. 6

The religious leaders considered Him to be threat to their power and authority and condemned Him to death. The only accusation they could think of was that He announced Himself as Son of God. For that reason they condemned Him and put them to death.

The people nailed Him to a cross in a shameful way. This humiliation was’t all. By dying, He has paid for the punishments that you and I should have otherwise recieved for all our mistakes, our wandering of God.

By dying voluntarily He has washed away His sins and our shame with His blood and cleanses our conscience. 8

‘Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. 7

To prove that Jesus Christ was not only human, but also God, He rose again from the dead after three days.

‘Who can say that God’s people are guilty? No one! Christ Jesus died for us, but that is not all. He was also raised from death. And now he is at God’s right side, speaking to him for us. 8

If you are willing to believe this and respond to God’s love, then your sins are forgiven and you can have a relationship with God. Even better: you are adopted as a child of God!

‘But some people did accept him. They believed in him, and he gave them the right to become children of God. They became God’s children, but not in the way babies are usually born. It was not because of any human desire or plan. They were born from God himself. 9

If you can not or do not want to believe this, then try to think of what else God should have done for you to show that He loves you?

What Will be Your Choice?

‘People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty. But people who do not believe are already judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son. They are judged by this fact: The light has come into the world. But they did not want light. They wanted darkness, because they were doing evil things. 10

What will be your choice? Do you want to continue to lead your own life, ignoring the truth of God? You can, thereby you also determine your own future. That will be one without God.

Or do you choose to grab this opportunity and start a new life? A life that will be much complete and more beautiful than you have ever been able to realize. A life where you will be part of the Kingdom of God and where you will have an unhindered relationship with your Creator.

If you choose to give God the first place in your life, then from now on He will also take care of you. This does not mean that you never will make mistakes, or that from now on you will lead a luxury life. The temptations remain, our body remains mortal, but for your soul there is an eternal future with God.

I really hope that you have been touched by what God has done for you. I know that the choice you are to make is not easy. Especially when there are many people near you who do not want to accept the Truth.

The easiest thing for you to do is to stop here and continue with your life. That is also a choice. I would advise you not to opt for the easiest way. If you still have your doubts, do your own research and do not stop until you can make a right choice.

Are you willing to turn your life around and put God in the first place in your life? Do you want to accept the offer of forgiveness through the offering of His Son? Then make your choice today!

YES, I want to make a choice now!

I do not want to choose yet. I still have many questions

NO, my choice is not to accept the offer of Jesus Christ

I have previously accepted the offer of Jesus Christ
